Anyone with a tyreless ally marchi can you check
something for me please?

I need someone to measure the distance between the 2 'lips' of the wheel, from the inside of them if that makes any sense - and post the measurement here...

Pretty please?

On my 6" rear Marchessini the inner measurement at the bottom of the bead area is 160mm, sorry haven't got a 5 1/2" without a tyre on at the moment.

Ok I'm measuring between the two lips, at the bottom where they meet the rest of the wheel if you get what I'm on about - I'm getting roughly 145mm

So it looks like it may be a 5.75"

Thats why I needed someone to check an ally one - a known quantity as AFAIK they are only made in 5.5"

At 15mm narrower than my 6" rim it sounds more like its a 5 1/2 ", hopefully Nat will be back with a measurement soon, if that don't happen I'll get my bead breaker back from Senna3 and take the slick off one of my alloy 5 spokes.
