mono to biposto seat conversion
tried a search on this but didn't come up with anything

anyone done a mono to bip conversion?

what do you need apart from sub frame and seat unit?
is there much work??

its a great bike for a bit of mono wheel action! 2 up will help!
getting it fettled with a 57mm full system too so it won't be far behind my old gix1000 in the wheelie stakes!

With a 57mm system underneath the rearseat - it'll be nice and warm!!! - great for the winter!!

Apparently it works no problem but costs a fortune.
It just so happens that someone in USA has a complete brand new set up for sale.

I know somebody that migjht have the parts, but If they put them for sale on this sit they will probably get abused. He had some of the parts acouple of weeks ago when he had a fire damaged 999 for sale on Ebay

I do a bit of buying off Dan, he is very reliable and has even offered to sort out US only Ebay items for me in the past. Some times the bits come through his mate in Peterborough.

You may have to swap the rear shock due to the mono's softer spring, and ground clearance problems

Be careful , I don't think the lightweight forged wheels fitted to the R are strong enough for 2-up riding , check first

The subframe / seat swap is a relatively easy job , 2-3 hours I would say
