| 916 forks - standard specs Can anyone advise me on the standard spring rate and travel for a set of late (65mm caliper mount) 916 forks. I'm trying to set them up on my 900 monster, and find that even with the preload and compression damping backed right off, it still feels a bit harsh and pattery over smaller bumps  It's still a huge improvement on the standard non-adjustable showas that the (dark spec) monster had as standard, but I know they could be better with more fettling. The forks were blagged cheaply on Ebay, so I may splash out on an overhaul and Racetech upgrade in the new year. TIA GT  [Edited on 31-10-2004 by Gary T.]  |
