Optimate Polarity ?

My optimate died.

I've got another battery charger, but it's a general purpose one for bikes, cars and everything. It's got all the same maintenance mode features as the optimate and can be left connected all the time, but it just has the usual crocodile clip type connections to clip to the battery terminals.

I've still got the optimate fly lead connected to the battery and cable tied to the frame, so I could cut the connector off the dead optimate to make the charger easy to connect up, but without taking the fairings off (a 30 minute job on an ST), to trace the wires back to the battery I don't know what polarity the fly lead is.

If you look at the connector on the bike there'a a square shaped terminal and a D shaped one, can anybody tell me which one of these hooks up to the positive side?
