Insurance Payouts, How long?

Was unfortunaly knocked off back at the start of April
http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xm...8294#pid165931
Im still no further down the line that i was nearly 5 months ago. Apparantly the other driver is disputing liability even though he pulled out across my right of way and with 3 witness statements and the Police report all in my favour. My Solicitor whom im begining to wonder is as good as was made out to me is actually pressing them because its only when i call or email that he seems to pull his finger out.
He now tells me that Peugeot (Obvouisly took advantage of a years free insurance) whom the lad is insured with have a 5 week back log.
So what i have to wait yet longer arrhhhh im P*ssed with waiting already.
Does anyone know a way this can be speeded up???

From my past experience with insurance companies the only thing that speeded things up was by making a real nuisance of myself by constantly phoning them! Ring them every day!

Mood: Channel Swim is now a (bad) memory not a dream
My 'simple' accident took 18 months to settle. I have a lever arch file full of paper and an in box full of emails. There is no substitute for getting on the phone and making a pest of yourself. You're unlikely to be dealing with a solicitor, but an overworked, underpaid clerk who has a stack of files on their desk and a system that means that they look at yours every so often and make a call to the opposition. Things take time, get used to it.
