How to use a bike lift?

Hi all. I've got use of one of these to use for a while, but I've no idea how get my bike onto it and secure it without dropping it. I have front and rear paddock stands that I can use if need-be. Can anyone give me step-by-step 'how to'? Is it a two-man job or can I do it on my own?

Yep, what Age said.

You can just use the side stand if you're not taking the wheels out.

It won't fall off on it's own - unless you push it over!

I suppose you could strap it if you felt more comfortable, but I never have.

Thanks Age
Just stick it on the side stand as normal whilst getting the rear paddock stand on? Simple I guess, but I was concerned that it might slip-off. Also, is the wheel-clamp gubbins at the front of any use?
