Having a bit of a traumatic afternoon... cleaned bike thouroughly and put the last bits back together then went to start it...

NOTHING!!! pump priming but not a whisper from anything else.

Went through everything in my capability list and finally gave up and rang CK who passed me over to Alan

Straight off the bat he came up with a test to narrow it down and identify the two possible culprits!! OK so I scared the pants off myself performing the test (bypassing the solenoid) but it worked and I now have a potential solution.

So big thanks to AK for helping me and getting me past the i am going to sell this f***ing bike and buy a Honda' moment

Ironically one of Fred's interim tests was to wack it with the mallet and see if it started....

I am working on the process of elimination and tomorow night's activities include swapping sidestand switch, new solenoid and electrical testing

fingers crossed one of them will help
