| Final Gearing Changes I'm changing the final gearing on my 748E and I've used 'Gear Commander' and other calculators to derive the new chain length.  I'm going to increase the number of teeth on the rear sprocket from 38 to 40 teeth giving a new ratio of 14/40 (stock 14/38) to get better acceleration and to compensate for the larger diameter sprocket and maintain the same amount of chain adjustment increase the chain length by 1 link from 94 to 95. Just before I order the parts I would like to confirm that the new sizes are correct, has anybody done the same change and any comments would be appreciated.  |
