Talking loadsamiles !

Just clocked up 10.000 miles since sep 2005, about 8000 for 2006 probably.

Mainly trips to the coast, 40 mile coffee shop trips, the coffee shop is 3 miles from my house so not sure quite how this works ;-)

One big weekend trip to Belgium, France and Luxembourg, about 800 mile round trip.

Plan to do several more trips in the spring...... before i succumb to a 1098 sometime in the summer :-)

Mood: Daft as MartinH after too much Smirnoff Ice
Nearly 14,000 spread across 3 bikes, France, Italy, Scotland, couple of track days, off road in lots of places but the Welsh forests and moors weree the best. and general running around.

Ashamed to admit i did a lot more miles on the KTM than the Ducati this year, but my best ride of the year was over Shap on Raid the Lakes in the company of various Ducati, but my favourite moment was being passed by MartinH on his 996R, watching him lob it into a bend in front of me and listening to the glorious sound it made Awesome.

Next favourite ride was last weekend, winter looming, hadn't ridden the Ducati for a couple of weeks, weather was cold but dry and it was just so refreshing to ride the thing again before the arrival of SALT! Why can't they just use pepper on the roads instead.

Probably only managed about 11000 miles this year. Of which 3000 were on the 996R (more than doubling its total mileage) The rest on the Multistrada. Never managed a South of France trip this year which usually adds 3000 or so to my total Did get to the Nurburgring though which was fun lapping alongside some mates of mine in their Caterhams and a 911GT3. Most memorable bit of that trip was being passed by a factory M5 with test driver in full race suit helmet etc. I was still braking for a corner and not even turned in when he appeared totally sideways and just drifted all the way round me and the corner. Awesome!

Had some memorable runs down a deserted Shap (A6 Penrith - Kendal) The one that stands out being the one Shaun mentions above. In company I think with JPM, Lily, Mr C and Padge? A great road for opening up a big sportsbike made more memorable chasing another 996r (Shauns) and listening to those termis rumble.

Had a few (but not enough) back road blasts up to Hartside (200 mile round trip) Brilliant either during the week or at the right time at weekend when its deserted up there.

Hope to do a good few more miles this year.
