Delivered new 749 Dark

I got my baby delivered tonight from Duke Glasgow.

After my fun and games and general bad luck with the 748R it is an awesome feeling to have a bike sat in the garage again.

Thanks to Scottch for the offer of his trailer, no need muppett sorry i mean mate!!! Rab dropped it off in the van.

I had the chance to take it out for a "Quick" blip before the heavens opened. Felt really good, just a few false neutrals when shiffting 1 to 2 but no doubt this will clear, either that or i am being too gentle with the shifter?

Photo's to follow tomorrow when i work out how to do it, or if anyone wants to oblige and post them up let me know.

Now the soppy bit.........

Big thanks to Scottch for the support when all seemed lost with the R, it is appreciated matey. I am positive if you had not been there i would have dragged the salesman over the desk to get my refund!!!

Secondly to Rab and Martin at Glasgow, especially Rab for bringing the bike over well after shutting time......

Happy as a ink: in sh*t

Hope to see a few of you at Knockers over the weekend...

Regards

ScottyB

For the false neutral problem, try adjusting the gear lever a bit. I kept having problems as I found the standard setting on my 749S needed me to move my foot too much to change up. I like a slick, positive gear change so I moved the lever closer to the peg. Much easier to flick the gears now and no false neutrals.

Dangleberry,

No need for the thanks, ya dawber, just get out there and enjoy the bike!

When we're all in Jerez for a trackday next year, just remember who's on the beers

By the way, I only stopped you dragging the saleman over the desk so I wouldn't have to phone the missus to come and bail us both out!

Cheers!

Scott
