Flip front helmets

A mate of mine is thinking of getting one of those helmets where the whole front opens up. Apparently they dont have a gold ACU sticker on them. His question is could he use it on a trackday?

Also does anyone on here have anything to do with the UKMOC? I've been waiting for about ten days now to have my account activated!!!

i dont think your ment to use them on track days without that sticker.
as i understand it they are designed to break away on impact.sounds a bit scary to me

Fair enough. I've only done one trackday and no one looked at any of my kit on the day but i guess a flip up helmet would be quite obvious!

Cant PM people on UKMOC until my account is activated!

I think there wa a test case a few years ago and they decided it was legal to ride with them open. I think what Glyn wa saying might be right, the front part isnt structural if you know what i mean!
