New Era Entry Regs

I have just had the latest batch of regs drop through the letterbox.

For Oulton Park they have DD down for 4 races (two seperate grids)with entries at £130

At Donington its the same as Oulton

at Snetterton they have us down for 3 races, two 10 lapnon championship races and a 20 lap combined classes championship race (Grid limited to 40 Solos, could be a problem) entry for 2 races is £120

Cadwell 4 races, 2 per class, entry fees £110

Donington and Oulton are both 40 places per grid so we could do with getting a few more filled to try and hang on to these seperate grids. I may send my entries in ASAP and enter both classes for these meetings if there are no objections, by Donington I could possibly have my 620 engine transplanted into my second 600SS and use it for trying it out. Oulton I would have to run a 583 in class A.

The combined 20 lap race at Snett could be a problem with only 40 on a grid, I may well drop this race if all goes well in the series up to that point, that is no DNFs before then

Kev

Ummm... what???

Two 10 lap non championship races and a combined 20 lap race?

How about just running 2 seperate 20 lap races - one for each class?

That would cater for both classes, and take less time too.

Someone somewhere has lost the plot with this.

Thats what I thought the original plan was, I don't know where the latest plan contained in the regs came from, But I agree a 20 minute race pae class would be a more sensible option.

20 laps @ 1m 24s = 30 mins ish anyway.

Makes more sense to go by laps I think, at least you know how many are left (if you have a pit board)

I thought we were looking at a 30 min race per class?? A 40 strong combined grid would exclude loads....

I think the simple explanation is that once again the riders will get shafted all in the name of profit.

Despite the fact that DD puts more bikes on the grid compared to ANY other class NE run, Club or Superclub or Karts or Supermono.

dont know if it would really. only 31 at assen. obviously more at snet as its closer but with a couple of people dropping out anyway and holidays or whatever then it might only just be over the limit. unfortunatelty if we cant fill the grids, which looks likely then we have to put up with this. i'll be as miffed as anyone if i miss out on qualifying and will undoubtedly throw my toys but lots of others have to deal with this.
