misano gp 8th September

riding there on the 1198s, because it would be rude not to eh? Via maastricht to catch son#1 & family then nurburgring, munich to see a mate & over the austrian alps. Return via lake como to catch more family, switzerland & gently wiggle home again. Seems like a cunning plan to me...

Would be more cunning to have a 2 week holiday and take in the second Misano race as well..... just saying...

That would have been a fine thing - zero chance of getting that much time off work though...
Almost got there - got into Italy and it hammered down with rain for ages. Stopped for fuel and the bike refused to start...for around a whole day, ffs. Breakdown recovery got me to some kind of battery emporium but bike still wasn't playing and the rac gave up on me - just couldn't be bothered to deal with it,so around 6pm after my phone had died the bike stuttered into life and I took a snap decision to return asap. Rode into Switzerland and camped, it started fine the next day (and indeed every time on the way home with only five incidents of it not starting for around ten minutes each time)
So I ended up thoroughly enjoying Switzerland, camped near colmar in ne france and then blitzed through the rain to dieppe. Got home yesterday morning and the big clean up/fettling shall commence.
