Question Suspension setup 600ss

So not sure how active this forum anymore but I'm tired of FB...

Anyway has anyone got any tips or notes from their old suspension setups?

I've got a class b m600 ss and was wondering if anyone used to make changes to the front end of them? I believe I have the later gen forks with the thicker spindle and so far all I've done is had them refreshed between seasons and had my sag setup too

The rear I've dropped in a nitron and that feels pretty good

My original DD bike which was a 1996 600SS had the original Marzocchi 40mm forks, I threw away the stock springs and fitted a pair of 0.85 kg/mm Ohlins and made some preload spacers to get the sag I wanted. I think I went up a grade of fork oil and played with the airgap.

Worked well enough for sub minute laps around Brands on the Pirelli Diablos
