clutch problem

I fitted a techmoto clutch slave a fair while ago with no problems. Now the clutch is not totally disengaging the gears when pulled. I guess something is wearing but dont know much about this stuff so any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
ps its a 1999/2000 model. (gold frame, underseat u-lock)

If its not totally disengaging then the first thing to do would be to bleed it through.

It more than likely needs bleeding........
O/Size clutch cylinders need to be bled completely to work at their best. The increase in bore means that the throw is reduced a little, any air in there and you lose a bit and the clutch starts to drag.

Think Shazaam covered this a while ago.... it's something along the lines of you're pulling the lever the same amount, so the same amount of fluid is pushing the oversized (key work here) piston, thus the piston doesn't move the pushrod as much as the OEM version, thus the downside is disengagement/clutch dragging etc.

Could be something else though, air in the system, leak somewhere, try adjusting the span on the lever outwards, which equates to more fluid being pushed at the master cylinder, and the knock on being the slave pushes the pushrod further.

Hmm I'll try the lever span adjustment to see if that helps, I bled the clutch before originally posting - no difference. I have heard that ducati fitted different length pushrods and wonder if a slightly longer one than is fitted may be available.
Cheers all.
