IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING – DYMAG SINGLE SIDED CARBON FIBRE MOTORCYCLE WHEEL
It has come to our attention that a potential problem may exist on some Dymag CA5 Carbon Composite wheels for single sided wheels manufactured by Dymag Racing UK Limited between 2002 and 2009.
A potential safety issue has been identified in the hub area which in a worse case could cause product failure. This only applies to Single Sided Carbon Fibre Wheels manufactured by Dymag Racing Ltd from 2002 until they closed down in November 2009.
This issue does not affect any wheels manufactured by CSAI, as we have modified the wheel hub to reduce wheel “chatter” under hard track racing conditions following feedback from top test riders. This modification removes the risk of product failure of CA5 single sided wheels.
CSA International Ltd (CSAI) purchased the assets of Dymag Racing Ltd in January 2010, and commenced manufacture of Dymag CA5 Carbon Composite Wheels in January 2011.
CSA International Ltd does not have any legal or commercial liability in respect of Dymag Racing Ltd manufactured products or product, but as a responsible company that places customer safety and product reliability first, we are offering a free of charge safety inspection to customers who purchased CA5 type Single Sided Carbon Fibre Wheels between 2001 and 2009 from Dymag Racing Ltd.
Upon inspection we will be able to advise customers on the appropriate course of action in relation to the options available. It may be necessary to install a new hub assembly utilising the CSA modification.
We would like to offer affected customers the option of purchasing a new replacement wheel, at trade price.
If you wish to discuss this matter further please contact CSA International Ltd. By Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: +44 (0) 1249 446438 between 08:30 – 16:00 Mon – Fri (UK).
