Bike prep

...Guys, trying my best to add to the numbers and get on the grid for March class a, have a standard monster 620s ie lined up and hopefully sale will go through late January.

Checking skids posts, registration looks straight forward and should be able to complete that process before kick off.

Question is, and I know if I looked hard enough through the various posts id probably find the answers but to summarise, what are the essential changes, apart from the obvious race faring, that need to be made for the bike to be reasonably competitive ?

I also want to get an exhaust fabricated for the bike, just one exit instead of the two that come on the bike. Any recommended fabricators around the liverpool / manchester areas ?

Regards

Kev

Along with the fairing You will need to lockwire the sump plug, oil filter (use a large Jubilee clip or a K&N filter) Oil Filler and the Oil Filter cap on the right side of the engine just below the clutch cover.
A Oil containment Belly pan to ACU spec will be required, bar ends require spherical bungs.
On a Monster raising the pipes and footrests for better ground clearance would be a good idea.
That covers the basics to get it out on the track, to make it more competitive, loosing some weight off it and the brakes can be improved as can the suspension.
As for the engine I would suggest getting the cams dialled in and getting the fueling sorted

JAC are in nottingham .. made me a 2 into 1 underseat

bit of a treck but well worth it .. 250 notes .. top job

mates the original headers with the end can of your choice

just keep the overall pipe length the same and you shouldn't have any probs

and yeah .. power commander and dyno a must

apart from that as long as you can ride it fast enough you'll be there or there abouts
