Just drained my tank after Sundays final race and I now I'm cautious and all that, but this is mad, it had 11 litres left in it! Does any one know of a good mathematical fuel calculation? Or what do you use? I'm thinking length of track x laps plus warm up and warm down lap? Or something like that!

Fill with known volume (10l) do qualifying laps. Count laps. Empty tank and measure volume remaining. Difference is fuel used. Divide fuel used by number of laps = L/lap. calculate fuel required race by multiplying fuel/lap x laps + 2 litres for rules compliance.
Agreed, that is what I do for bionicles bike, but I check to see how much he uses during qualy and adjust as neccesary. As for draining, use a fuel syphon pump rather than the quick connecters, causes less wear on the sealing "o" rings.
