This bike started life as a 1996 600SS road bike, bought for the DSC Desmo Due race series in 2005. I stripped it right down, cleaned it all and then put it back together as a race bike, having sorted the suspension and getting it serviced and having the 674cc big-bore kit fitted and so on. At the end of 2005 I bought a 2003 620ie engine to fit into the chassis. Again it was stripped but this time the frame got sent off for powder coating in black. It got the full silver TecMoto sponsored paint too, along with some Brembo radial master cylinders for extra bling. Additional modifications through 2006 included an FG Gubellini shock and alloy swingarm, later Showa forks and matching 65mm Brembo P34 calipers and lighter brake disks. For 2007 little has changed as we're just about where we want to be with the bike... it's now down to the rider to improve! |
