The clocks ecu & keys are a matched set so borrowing clocks isn't an option unless it's a new uncoded set.

Try disconnecting the battery it can somtimes reset the ecu/clocks.

No! you have to move the battery,ecu,fuse box ect, if you lookat Dallas's bike I did that one, it's a bit of a fiddle to do it properly.

ps. you also have to change the pump if it's a carby tank you...
