Wouldn't a stock 996 be about the same power as an early TL? Its certainly got loads more than a late one, they were struggling to touch 100hp at the end.

Can you not explain the suituation to the local Police. They wil then check the frame number to make sure its not stolen and they can then stamp on a new one for you and you then get the log book...

Correct. The prime setting bypasses the vacuum requirement from the engine and just makes the oil flow out without the motor running if i remember correctly.

Fairly pointless exercise as far as my bike is concerned. The oil is thicker in the cold weather so you'll need to turn it up a bit and i don't ride in the cold weather!

Just keep on turning it up...
