My guess is that helicoiling will allow you to use the original sized bolt, re tapping will need a larger bolt unless the thread is only slight damaged and a tap of the right size will restore it.

I would suggest that the different exhaust will have more effect than changing the air filter etc mainly becasue the FI system doesnt have a lambda sensor. As daz rightly says, a PC3 is a subsitute...

I've never heard of anyone bolting one to a wall. It would be fairly easy for someone to remove a few bricks if they really wanted your bike. Best to bolt it to a nice solid concrete floor.
