I always prefered the Earlier Steel framed CBR600's over the Alloy framed FX/FY model, up until 98 the FV and FW models were probably one of the best 600s you could get, then the R6 came along and I feel the R6 is a lot better bike than the first Alloy framed CBRs. Currently I own 3 Jap 600s, my 1997 CBR600FV, a 1998 R6 and a 2002 GSXR600K2 and they are all capable bikes, but for Distance work and track work the CBR600 is probably the best all rounder and costs less than the others. |
