OK. I only know the torque values for the 998 but I suspect the corresponding values for the 748 would be the same. Don't take my word for it, though!
- Rear wheel left hand nut: 156 Nm ± 5 %.
- Rear wheel right hand nut: 176 Nm ± 5 %.
Tighten gradually in 2-3 steps using a torque wrench until you reach the values above. Then tighten further (max 5%) until the castle nut allows for the locking pin/clip to go through the hole in the axle.
Personally, I grease the threads using Shell Retinax HDX2, but that's for the stock nuts. If I were you I'd use an anti-seize paste on that Ti nut in order to avoid galvanic corrosion between the disparate alloys in the axle and the Ti nut. Bostik Never-Seeze (
