drill through the head of the bolt with a drill the same size as the thread of the bolt, just dont put too much pressure on so that you can stop as soon as the head is loose.

Drill em steady with a good drill. When the head pops off there should be enoguh thread to grasp with some pliers/grippers to unscrew and the heat and vibration from the drilling will have loosened them a bit too.
thought that was necessary but you never know unless you ask. Royally miffs you off that for the money you spend on these lovely machines, that the componenets cant match the same quality! never mind...time to drill

Heh, I had exactly the same problem with those rounding out.
So I thought about it, and came to the conclusion that because they were sheer bolts, if I gave the mirror a gentle tap it should break the bolt and I can pull the mirror off.
