Just when I thought things were getting better(Resolved)

Can`t beleive this, just became a victim of credit card fraud, some **** had tried to book what looks like a holiday with my fudging bank card!!!
Was looking online at might bank statement to see if a money transfer had gone thru when I relised there was no money in my account
I know this has happened to some other members before and you think it will never happen to you,but for fudges sake be carefull,my card never left my sight,to say I`m ****ed off just before xmas is an understatement

Hey it happened to me not so long ago....however, the only good news is that the bank will refund the money to you straight away so you should be OK.
On the flip side, though they will have to send you out new cards.

hope all is OK

was your card info taken from your pc{ie have you bought something online with your card} thats all it takes, or have you put your card in the hole in the wall to take out some money and had it read by a card reader,ps the card readers the thieves use are much smaller now,
ps hope it goes all right for you and have a good xmas

Tough break mate.

There's no money in my account either, but in my case I know exactly who spent it all.

Happened to me too mate, on a car that was never even authorised (!!) as I was only using it for the 0% offer. Makes a mockery of the whole system when they can do that - it was used in the US to buy clothes from an online store and sent to a US address!

Happened to me a few months back, took me over my overdraft limit and my bank just let it happen all they did was send me a letter saying I had exceeded my overdraft and charged me for it.
Next I was waiting for forms I had to fill in and return, it was a couple off weeks before they recredited my account, soon as they did two small amounts vanished as if somebody was testing. This time I made them change my Debit card.
Hope they sort you out quicker than they did me as it certainly caused a few problems being overdrawn for a couple off weeks

bad luck that, we have had something similar happen to us the wifes switch card was cloned and used for on line gambling. First Direct were good and the only inconvenience was waiting for the new cards.

Went into my bank(Nationwide)today and to say they were helpful would be an understatement. They can`t tell me how it was done yet,but the receiver was a company called my travel at Kings Lynn,I asked directory inquiries for their number and they said thee was no such firm listed in Kings Lynn.Even tho the transaction was still being processed it couldn`t be stopped.I don`t use this card online,so I don`t think it was on the internet.
The bank has made sure I`ve got cash over xmas, but reckon it could be a while for I get a new card this time of the year tho.

Look on the brightside tho, nobodys died.
