Lights

The lights on my 916 are CRA.... not very good.

I can ride faster than they can illuminate the road, whilst I realise I am not moving at the speed of light, I would like to be able to see where I am going, braiile is no fun on a bike.

Any suggestions as to replacement bulbs please ??

I often have this problem and combined with a dark visor i often find myself using the " force " to guide me.

Have you tried winding the adjuster out a few turns? This may bring the headlights up a touch and give better beam pattern for lighting the road in front.

Other than that I'd recommend some blue tinted bulbs from Halfrauds - they made a real big difference in lighting on mine as the light comes out whiter and illuminates better - for whatever reason that is!

You can get "50% brighter" H1's for main and "30% brighter/bluevision" H3's for dipped that make a marginal difference and cost about £20 all in from most auto-stores and bike shops, but I'd guess it's just a poor light beam from the shape of the headlights thats the root cause.

I fitted HID's to my car, but £300 for the bike's a bit rich considering how often it's out in the dark.

I use Osram Silver Star from http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/

Personally, I'd avoid blue tints as they (typically) reduce the amount of light transmitted, by blocking the low temp light to make it appear to be a 4000K lamp and fooling the eye into thinking it's brighter.
