The '97 lever will be different. They don't use the little dowel, they push directly on the cylinder pin.
I think they changed from '99 onwards??

You're right nelly (of course!), but Mr S is letting me have the lever, and it'll be working a 916 m/c, so all should be fine and dandy I hope!
