You'll need the mid-section from the 748S as well - I think this is different as mine goes onto the standard 45mm cans for the MOT, then also works fine with the 50mm mid section.

I remember this came up a while ago, and I guess you've now found out why yours was different!

Im confused I have the original 45mm midsection on my 748S that fits both the 45mm and the 50mm cans (as the ends of the 50mm cans goes over instead of into the 45mm midsection)

I got the 45-50mm from dibbles bike to complete it, as i thought it would look better to, but the bottom end of dibbles mid section wont go over the end of my down pipes that are 1 piece and not 2 parts (held together with one spring) as shown in the parts catalogue

I'd go back to your original method then, unless you can get the right headers from DUK for free...
