Can anyone tell me how big they need to be?

I think it's 2kg minimum, with dry powder.

2kg Dry Powder Extinguisher
£15.50 + vat
Delivery: £9.60 + vat

Total = £29.50 inc vat & delivery

http://www.firesafetywarehouse.co.uk...oducts_id=1659

It's a pity that the delivery may be in 2 or 3 days...

Phone them and order as they may well despatch it today.

I bought it from Halford, a little bit more expensive but I am sure to have one this week end.

A dry powder unit will trash electrical system components. You might want to consider a carbon dioxide bottle instead.

unfortunately, thats what the rule book wants you to have its for accidents in the pit & camping area (which are more likely to be caused by bar-b-q's than anything else)

I've just spoken to Eddie at the ACU who confirms that the word 'powder' has been removed from the next handbook as the had complaints that they were difficult to get hold of. A foam one would be perfectly acceptable.

I can't find any cheaper than UDs £23.75 so I'll bag one of those if there's any left!

Cheers,

Ali
