Phil, are you thinking of joining in the fun?

I'm not sure which is the better bike for DD. A 620 Sport took the win in both races followed by a couple of 620 Monsters. Ian Leah was up there as well on his 620 Sport.

Having said that, an older monster still running as a 583 took a 6th and a 5th.

Hope that helps ...

If money isn't such an issue, then best bet is probably a 620, just incase the rules allow 680cc limit across the board in 2006.

Just saves some hassle

"A 620 Sport took the win in both races "-wrong-if you looked closely at Geofs bike you would have noticed it is a monster chassis with sport tank-sneaky like.

Well, I may recall this incorrectly but I spoke to Geoff on the Sat night at Cadwell and I thought he told me it was a sport - with an older style tank on it.

Possibly off the old shape 900SS. It's very well done though, if it's a monster or a Sport. Looks great.

Did anyone else speak to him??

Yeah myself and CK spoke to Geoff as he was just across the tarmac from them in the paddock. I'm sure he told me it was a 620 SS but with the older 600 SS tank on it as I spotted that.

Yep, Geoff's is a sport for sure.
I thought it would be a good question to ask, but didnt expect quite so much activity in the space of one afternoon
I've always wondered what a decent shock would do for the ss chassis, but also always thought that the monster(851) chassis would always be better.
These results show (I think) that good setup makes the best of ANY chassis.

The other interesting thing I think I've seen (thanks to mutters xlnt pix) is that the front runners all have twin discs ...

Oh and yes TP, I have always been interested in racing in DD !
It's just that I am running 2 other race bikes, and because they are old clunkers, take a lot more spannering than these 'swap the bodywork and race them' modern things :P

Anyone want to offer me a px on my FE

Ok, Ok I stand corrected-didn't look too closely at Geofs bike but I remembered the tank being wrong for the frame and assumed it was a monster chassis-I'll go back into my box now.
Still think the monster chassis is the best to use though.
