I'm not sure i understand what the fuss is about regarding the selling of the tickets on ebay. They were talking about this on the radio last night and ebay were adamant that the auctions would stand as no laws were being broken etc.

There was a quote from Geldof the grey going on about how it was scandalous that people were out to make money "off of the poorest people on the planet" but surely they are making money as a result of some very rich people doing a concert?

Supply and demand surely. It was the same story with the Nike wrist bands when they first came out. You bought them for a minimal charitable donation and then flogged them for 20bucks a go on ebay?!?!

eBay now realise that they cannot beat Sir Bob of Geldof and have pulled the plug on any Live8 tickets. Maybe it was because he called for eBay to be "brought down" if they didn't....

Saw Roger Waters at Glastonbury i think 2 years ago, did'nt see what all the fuss was about!Apart from his surround sound kit it just came across as some old has-been living off past glories.David Bowie however, was awesome, his set coinciding with the sunset.Still not as good as Al Green but alot better than Rolf HarrisThere may be recordings of the roger waters set on Ebay

Well, better to be a "has been" than a "never was".

I'm another of the old farts who was young when the Floyd were in their prime. I saw them a few times at Earls Court and at Wembley in their "Dark Side of the Moon" days. They were very good... although at the time I prefered Genesis in their Peter Gabriel/Steve Hackett days (Phil Collins should've stuck to drums).

Also saw the Stones in another concert in the park that summer-happy days.
