Ipod help

Can anyone tell me if there is a way of recovering all the music on your IPOD..? Work installed some new outlook software on my PC and Itunes music store wouldnt work..the IT geek at work told me to re-install the ipod software (musics store still wont work)..which I did, but I then hooked up my Ipod and of course it synchronised with what was in Itunes - ie NOTHING !! Its taken me bloody ages to get all my music on there !!

Hope that makes sense..any help appreciated as im an official computer simpleton !!

Cheers
Nat

If it's synchronised then no, you're stuffed, for future reference disable automatic sync, this gives you the opportunity to sync to iTunes, which basically means you can retrieve the music from your iPod if needed

Can you still see the music on your iPod? If you can it's still there so you will be able to recover it. I use ephPod to take the MP3s off...

Nat it's under preferences>ipod (you'll need your ipod connected to display the options)

If the mp3's etc are all still on your PC/Laptop and not deleted as well, you jut need to tell iTunes where they are, let it sort itself out for half an hour or so whilst it rebuilds it's catalog, then re-synch with your ipod.

If you're not sure, and can wait until I get back from Manchester tomorrow night I can take control of your PC using this..http:\\www.gotoassist.com .and look at it for you.

Yeah it right Nat, all music (i.e. manually installed, or downloaded from itunes etc...) will all be saved as mp3's in your docs under itunes. I saved mine to an external hard drive and deleted them, cleaned up some stuff then loaded back the itunes from the external hard drive. If you have any more probs give us a call.

Steve
