Floating disc bobbins

There's a bit too much play for my liking in a set of Brembo cast-iron floating discs I have. The feel at the lever just didn't feel right on a few occasions when I was out on the bike at the weekend.

Is it possible to source new bobbins and clips for them?

TIA.

TecMoto used to do a set of bobbins which replaced the standard ones and also turned your disks into fully floaters. I think they were STM ones at £67 a set (two disks).

Don't know if they still do them or have them in stock, but could be worth a ring?

Thanks Antoyne - these are full-floaters. Occasionally in a corner on the brakes I will get vibration from them which can be a bit unsettling. The 748 I have doesn't suffer this and it has the same discs. Braking in a straight line is mostly fine.

you can direct replacements from Brembo via GPR. Bobbins, shims and clips etc.

Not 100% sure why you'd need to replace the bobbins unless they where actually worn. Shouldn't affect brake feel (e.g. Pad knock off/back) unless something else is off. maybe wheel slighty off ballance too?!? You can also get wavy washers that settle them down.

rgds, Rob
