some people!!

whilst at a boat jumble (dont ask!) today at north weald airfield in essex, i noticed a 748r in the car park

i was drawn towards this lovley sight, bored with staring at stalls and stalls of junk & scrap!

i noticed the DUCATI logo on the fairing panel was covered over with red tape. hmm i thought, thats strange. then i noticed the DUCATI logos on the tank were covered with HONDA stickers!!

WTFK!?!

does anyone know who owns this bike or why he's commited such a evil thing?

i had to turn away before the bike met with a nasty accident so i didnt notice if the bike had an engine transplant (god forbid!!)

what is going on?

That's what you get for going to a BOAT jumble on an AIRFIELD

It's bound to attract very confused people

Not one of ours, and I certainly haven't seen it around.

But each to their own, if that's what they want!

Don't knock it if you've never been to North Weald - they run a massive market every saturday full of the usual cheap fruit & veg stalls, knock off t-shirts, designer handbags and not-quite-genuine sunglasses along with the obligatory mobile phone unlocking and fake CD/DVD stalls.

It brings out all the lovely underclass of Essex, along with their massive bulldogs/rotties, screaming brats and overhanging beer bellies.

A sight not to be missed

The owner of that particular Duke must be a relative of somebody who lives in my town..

He drives an SL55 AMG Merc and where the badges were on the back of the car, they have been replaced by FIAT and PUNTO..

And the piece de la resistance being the number plate....

P17 OFF !!!

Last time I was at the airfield was for the classic sprint in 2000, some very fast and lovely bikes there. John Hobbs brought the 'Hobbit' out of retirement, for those who don't know this has 2 x 850cc supercharged Weslake motors in a 16ft long chassis and immediately set fastest time of the day. There was a guy with a 1928 flat twin Douglas who was flying, and a 50cc Kriedler with 14 gears which was amazingly fast for 50cc!-no rotties, beer bellies, white stilleto's or Chav's though.........
