| Some time back an accident had sealed off the M1 south at the M25 junction. Bikes (including myself) had naturally filtered their way to the front of the queue and were moved forward right to the front to spread out accross the motorway in front of all the cars by the police officers (clearly a safety thing.) When the accident had been cleared an officer made all the bikes switch off their engines and shouted (and I quote) "Right lads, imagine you are at Cadwell Park with a clear track in front of you......but be safe." You can imagine what happened when he released us and they did not bat an eyelid. Clear road all the way to J5 (for those of us at the front) because they had closed J6 southbound entry, again presumably for safety.
