The simple answer is yes an 851/888 fairing will fit a 900SS.
The top section is a bit wider than the SS so you will have to bend the fairing stays out a wee bit.The side panel holes are not quite in the right place but can be redrilled obviously!There is also a big hole where the radiator should be!
Back in '91 I 'raced' a 900SS and replacement race bodywork was not available in those days.I fitted a glass fibre 851 fairing and seat unit to my bike.Did'nt look too bad.
I have to say tho,it was'nt all my idea.I just copied what fellow racer Adrian Orram had done to his SS.Kawasaki KR1 fairing was also a popular fitment at the time.
I have also seen a road going SS with the 851/888 fairing fitted,...looked pretty good.(May have been at the TT or one of the Scarborough meets.)
I have some pics somewhere in the old KB arcives,(the loft!),I'll try and dig some out.
