| lets face it all those that raced last year should have something to contribute, with the DD bikes we all started with a blank bit of paper.
My first line said buy a 600SS
followed by fit race bodywork, Fit Diablos, Race can, K&N filter and Dynojet kit. Sort some sprockets (not sure of sizes need to do some testing)
Other things that I found I had to sort were
suspension
Bar position
Footpeg position
Brakes
Dyno run (to understand power band, what there is of it)
I'm happy to talk to anybody about my thoughts on these things, along with other things like my attitude towards going racing and some of the things I think about when lining up on the grid or during the actual race and its nice to see a few others are also willing to share their experiences to do with racing in DD.
as we keep saying its our series and we will get out of it what we put in
So we will give it a go at Brands the evening before race day and see what comes from it. |
