My 996 has a DP rear hugger, fitted using just the two bolts as I didn't want to drill the extra hole in the swinging arm.

While in France last weekend it lost the rear bolt and ended up being pretty much only held on by the rear brake hose as the front bolt was also nearly out !!

Guess who's going to be drilling the third (bolt) hole now...

p.s. yes I do maintain my bike, and do check it at the end of every ride. This was after 1200 miles over 3 days of serious riding.
