Despite the expense you should change the pads without doubt.

Trying to bed in old pads onto new discs could warp the new discs, and you wouldnt want that. Also, if the pads have glazed and not working to their best, this may have warped your discs in the first place. Pads deteriorate with heat cycles as well as mileage, this is a common way to ruin discs.

Also, if you put new pads in, then if you have any problems with the new discs you have some comeback.
