The pin should slide out, might need a bit of a tug. when replacing your pads you will have to settle the piston(s) back into the caliper to compensate for the extra friction material on the new pads. They might slide back in by hand if not a piece of hard wood and a small G clamp will set them back in, you will have to remove the caliper from mountings to do this. Remember to put a little copper grease on the location holes in the pads as well as the pin and the back of the pads!
