Well, I think that I already have the latest slave cylinder as my bike is a 2002 996. Now you have mentioned the push rod, it maybe something to do with that as I had to take it out to change the front sprocket.
To be honest, not really sure what I am looking for if I pull the clutch apart and am a bit scared of doing it..
