Hi
I can't comment on the difference between an 800 and a 1000, as I've got a 1000 but never ridden an 800. You notice quite a different riding position to a carb ss, it's a bit more focused.
Italia in Lincoln have a great looking 800ss in, 04 reg, and only done 643 miles! http://www.italiamotoltd.co.uk/
