| SS 916 Cafe Hybrid
Been trying to build a bike out of bits, managed to get
this thing together, sort of. Had some good info off you
guys especially Cornerspeed its running now but need more please.
916 frame, 2 valve engine standard alloy swing arm.
Think its got the lighter front wheel. 916 tank, seat unit no fairing.
Its been running open carbs, rubber trumpets no filters 148 main jet.
I'm guessing the lower shock mount should have a
spherical bearing (not plain?) with top hat bushes??
This one looks to have been bodged, someone using
washers between the shock bearing (plain) and swing arm
mount. Found them after I removed shock (had to make a
stand first to get it off the ground) to check valves.
Taking me a long time to get it done because I had an
off resulting in broken vertebrae, abscess 3 years ago,
but that's another story.
