You really need to do more than just change the chip to get more power.
No need for a PC3 on these bikes, a JHP chip at £30 is a heck of a lot cheaper but the bike still needs careful setting up. Its not just a case of plugging the new chip in and off you go.
The single injector mod to some of the 996 models is well known.
