If you're just changing the plates, then yes it's pretty easy. Watch out for the 6 cap heads on the spring caps. They can seize. If there is any doubt about stripping the heads out, give 'em a light tap with an impact driver.
If the push rod sticks in the cap in the bearing, there's a small hole which you can drift it out through.
The push rod can come all the way out, but the o-rings can snag the small bearing and get ripped.
If you're doing the basket to, then you'll need a holding tool and some "grunting" pills :P
Still pretty straight forward though
