Trust me you will be quicker, a Ducati is designed to corner quickly not to enter a corner too fast and then try and corner with the brakes on. The R6 is designed for Monkeys... yeah i know that but in a emergency on my old r6 you could if needed apply the front brakes but thats impossible on the 748 as it just sits you upright
