what is it about.....

CELERY that makes it so bloody awful??

I mean its fine dipped in a nice fattening creamy dip or in soup, salad etc, but on it own its just revolting!!!

I went on a diet after New Year and lost a bit of weight and now back on it after holiday. I have a couple of stone to lose and so trying to be good and if i want a snack to have fruit or veg. So tday i thought I would have a bit of celery to munch on, but its just so bad that I am now craving something with taste!

Anyone else having similar diet issues?

I usually snack on a protein bar, one with low carbs, sugar and fat. They're not easy to find!

doughnuts they're what you want. Oh and celery is disgusting, - not much I don't like but celery is one thing that is 'orrid. Was n't there a footie team whose supporters all carried sticks of the stuff and then sung about it??

I'm trying... No chocolate for three weeks now. My motivation is to avoid having to shell out on larger leathers! This was sorely tested last night when the rest of the family brought home fish & chips.

i have the opposite Brent as I wil have to have my leathers taken in to fit if i continue to lose weight.... maybe i should use that as a reason to eat chocolate....

Ian - did it have a line along the lines of "celery, celery, if he don't come we'll tickle his bum with a stick of celery....celery"? Or am i just imagining that?

Steve

I know all the rules and all the theories, problem is i have just come back from holiday where i ate well (burning lots of calories each day so not a big issues) and now everything seems a bit bland

i am usually ok with fruit etc but i thought i would try and vary it a bit with the celery... bad idea!!!

I managed to lose a stone by eating an apple at lunchtime and M & S low cal meals in the evening. None of this works if you don't exercise though. Think of it as needing to expend more calories through exercising than you take on board through eating. Thats a sure fire way to lose weight.
Anyway, after 6 weeks of sacrifice, I put it all on again. As Steve says, its all in the mind!

uses for celery
1) best stuck in a strong and spicy bloody mary (my winter diet)
2) load up with hellmans mayo or cottage cheese in the "inside" bit (non-diet mode),
3)wasn't going to say., but once had a girlfriend that liked being spanked with the a stick of the stuff!! - she was quite thin.
