Top speed on 600SS is 190km or 118mph according to my owners manual.

I've had my 600SS up to 120mph on the speedo but it didn't feel like it and it seemed to have a fair bit more to go.
Even 40mph on my 600SS feels like 30mph

Fastest indicated speed I've seen is 155mph on a ZZR.

Indicated 175 at the end of Revett Straight on my old R1, just before thinking that I could use better brakes

Most I've seen was 175 on my old 996, and she was still pulling, but traffic put heed to that...

Obviously I was on the autobahn...

I had a blurred view of something in the region of 160 but my eyes were watering and the slight curve that is normally there suddenly felt like a 90 degree bend so i chickened out and shut off.

177 - on my first R1, passed a peugeot full of Gendarme types running back from Cannes to get the ferry.

Realised in the morning that I'd got the date wrong and the ferry was that night......14 hours Cannes to Oxford, including the ferry trip

I haven't ever had a bike capable of more than 130-ish, so the fastest I've seen is:

147 on KeefyB's 999
145 on Sparkin's 888
140 on Fordie's 996

All on relatively short straight bits of the Bxxx private test track. Thanks guys, I was trying not to thrash 'em.

Fastest I've ever been was 170-ish in an Aston Martin DBS V8 Vantage

What felt like the fastest was navigating on the Welsh International Rally... flat out downhill on a straight bit of forest track. The car was only geared for 110-120 flat out, what made it feel ultra quick was the fact that the car was waltzing from side to side on a gravel surface and there was a sheer 200 foot drop just 2 feet to my left

Now that rally bit does sound scary

I did a few laps round Donnington on the back of Karl Harris on the back of an Aprillia Mille and that scared the living daylights out of me, thought i was gonna die.

pretty sedate 140ish into the left hander at the end of the start/finish straight at cadwell (funny enough more speed than I did at silverstone!) and top of 5th gear on park straight (too scared to look at the speed) on my 916

if you have a new style saab, beware the speeds are bang on! I had a gps type thingy in mine which measures speed to with 1mph apparently, and the most my speed is out is 2mph from 30 thru to 125....bit scary as I always assumed 90 on the clock is 80 real life! Explains why peolpe following me would complain of my speeding tho! Some would be showing ton plus!
