| to answer the question, yes - it is possible to fit Superbike exhausts onto an SS.
Several things to think about;
1) The seat unit will have to be changed (probably to a sbk unit) as there is not enough clearance under the standard seat.
2) You have to relocate the oil breather catch tank (which must be kept on for desmodue, but could be removed for the road).
3) The extra pipework will add weight (as well as having 2 cans instead of 1).
If you must do it, it will look like the picture below (yes, yes, I know I've posted it a million times but I won't have any new ones until she comes back) - but the cost of doing it is going to be more than the bike is worth.
Much easier/cheaper to get a two-into-one and high-level link pipe. |
